Leading fiber internet provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has blocked around 350,000 web addresses or uniform resource locators (URLs) as of end-January 2023, more than double the list the previous year as it intensifies efforts to protect its pure fiber network from illicit content, including those that contain imagery of online sexual abuse and exploitation of children (OSAEC).ย
Leading digital solutions platform Globe blocked 278,555 URLs and domains hosting child pornography from January to September this year, a record high that represents a leap from last yearโs numbers with boosted proactive filtering amid the proliferation of such lewd content online.ย
In a virtual ceremony held Tuesday, February 22, Converge and Stairway concluded an agreement to raise awareness of incidence of online sexual abuse of children (OSAEC).
