Tanduay Asian Rum Silver wins Gold at San Diego Spirits Festival

Tanduay Asian Rum Silver recently took home the gold medal at the 2024 San Diego Spirits Festival, a prestigious event in California known for celebrating the cocktail culture and advancing the spirits industry. Now in its 15th year, the festival continues to highlight the world’s finest spirits.

“This award reflects the dedication and craftsmanship that go into creating Tanduay rums,” said Roy Kristoffer Sumang, Tanduay International Business Development Manager. “From the careful selection of heirloom sugarcane to the aging process and packaging, we strive to deliver the best products from the Philippines.”

Tanduay Asian Rum Silver, recognized for its smoothness and distinct flavor, is aged up to five years in bourbon barrels, offering a taste of green ripe fruits with notes of burnt sugar, mandarin, and vanilla. The rum can be enjoyed neat or as part of a cocktail.

Sumang added, “We are grateful to the San Diego Spirits Festival for recognizing Tanduay Asian Rum Silver. This year’s win holds special significance as we celebrate Tanduay’s 170th anniversary.”

Founded in 1854, Tanduay has grown from a small distillery in Luzon to a global brand, with a presence in North and South America, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
