The Provincial Government of Tarlac, led by Governor Christian Tell Yap, joined the nationwide “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyo para sa Lahat” birthday caravan on September 14 at Bulwagang KanLahi of Diwa ng Tarlac, Maria Cristina Park, Centro Organico, and the Capitol Center.
The activity formed part of the nationwide culminating caravan held in celebration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s 69th birthday on September 13.
In his welcome remarks, Yap thanked President Marcos for choosing Tarlac as the Central Luzon venue of the caravan and for extending various forms of assistance to Tarlaqueños.
The multi-agency event brought together the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Health (DOH), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), PhilHealth, Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Philippine National Police (PNP), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Public Employment Service Office (PESO), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Social Security System (SSS), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Pag-IBIG Fund, and other agencies.
Yap, together with Local Government Support Fund Undersecretary Facundo Palafox IV, Department of Defense Undersecretary Pablo Lorenzo, Office of the Executive Secretary Technical Assistant Malcolm Dowell Domingo, and Vice Governor Estelita Aquino, led the ceremonial distribution of barangay projects, 10-kilo rice, presidential scholarships, and TESDA assistance.
The caravan also included a PSWDO uplift payout benefiting 1,225 Tarlaqueños, distribution of 20 Negosyo Karts through the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO), agricultural inputs, crops and farm machinery from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA), free spaying services from the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO), land titles from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), and native tree seedlings from the Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PGT-ENRO).
A medical mission was likewise conducted by the Tarlac Provincial Hospital, Provincial Health Office, City of Tarlac District Hospital, Gerona District Hospital, Luisita Medical District Hospital, and other participating health facilities.
Provincial board members, mayors, municipal councilors, barangay officials, and representatives of national, regional, and local government agencies also attended the caravan.
