The local government of Tarlac, under the leadership of Mayor Susan Yap, has allocated ₱2 million in funding to the Philippine Red Cross to help strengthen its blood services and emergency response efforts.

Mayor Yap emphasized the importance of maintaining an adequate blood supply, particularly during emergencies and situations where immediate medical assistance is needed to save lives.

She also reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to supporting programs that provide direct assistance and essential services to Tarlaqueños.

The funding is expected to help enhance the Philippine Red Cross’ capacity to respond to the needs of patients and communities requiring blood and other humanitarian services.
