TESDA, GCASH SEAL PARTNERSHIP TO BRING TECHNICAL TRAINING CLOSER TO FILIPINOS

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has teamed up with GCash to make tech-voc courses and job opportunities more accessible online.

The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed by TESDA Director General Kiko Benitez and G-Xchange Inc. VP for Innovations Leonardo Ferdinand Byron Perez, aims to enhance the reach of the TESDA Online Program (TOP) — a free learning platform offering over 180 courses across sectors like IT, tourism, agriculture, and finance.

With the integration of TOP into the GCash app, users can conveniently access skills training and explore job matches through GJobs powered by PasaJob. It’s a one-stop platform from learning to livelihood.

“This collaboration is a game-changer,” said Sec. Benitez. “We’re not just teaching skills; we’re connecting Filipinos directly to real opportunities.”

The move also reinforces TESDA’s commitment to serve marginalized communities by bringing digital education and financial tools within their reach. Beyond training, TESDA and GCash will explore further tech solutions to improve online learning and employment access.

As part of the initiative, TESDA scholars may also receive training support funds via GCash, while Globe and TM users continue to enjoy free data access to the platform — ensuring no learner is left behind.
