Thai Ambassador to the Philippines H.E. Makawadee Sumitmor led the Economic Team Thailand on a visit to the Subic Bay Freeport on June 25 to explore trade and investment opportunities.

The delegation met with Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority Chairman and Administrator Eduardo Jose L. Aliño and the SBMA Board of Directors to discuss strengthening economic cooperation and promoting business linkages between Thai and Philippine companies, highlighting Subic Bay’s strategic location within the Luzon Economic Corridor.

The team also visited PTT Philippines Corporation’s Subic facility, where company officials presented its operations and role in the country’s energy sector. The Royal Thai Embassy said the visit reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to expanding trade and investment ties with the Philippines.
