₱2–3 SAVINGS PER KILO OF PALAY

Farmers in Pampanga are expected to save P2 to P3 per kilo of palay with the help of the newly installed Rice Processing System provided by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Previously, farmers incurred high costs in drying and processing their harvest. With the new facility, not only is the process faster and more affordable, but rice can also be sold at higher prices.

The system is equipped with two circulating dryers capable of processing 24 tons or 280 bags of palay per batch within 8–10 hours, as well as a rice mill with a capacity of 40–60 bags per hour.

To maximize the benefits of the facility, Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda gathered farmers for a dialogue to listen to their concerns and needs. She also announced plans to acquire a two-hectare site in the 4th district for another Rice Processing System and large warehouses.

The provincial government will also provide service vehicles for farmers and repair damaged machinery of associations. In addition, Gov. Pineda committed to increasing the farmers’ fund to more than P900 million in 2026 to ensure abundant harvests and improved livelihoods across Pampanga.
