Baliwag Water District reaffirms commitment to Quality Service

The Baliwag Water District (BWD) has reiterated its commitment to delivering high-quality and reliable water services to its customers, ensuring sustainability and efficiency as demand continues to grow.

Speaking at the 26th episode of the Philippine Information Agency’s π‘²π’‚π’‘π’Šπ’‰π’‚π’ 𝒔𝒂 π‘©π’‚π’ˆπ’π’π’ˆ π‘·π’Šπ’π’Šπ’‘π’Šπ’π’‚π’”, Jose Angelo Pagkanlungan, BWD’s Legal Services and Public Information Head, underscored the district’s dedication to safe, affordable, and innovative water solutions.

β€œWe aim to provide safe, reliable, and affordable water services while positioning ourselves as a leading water utility through innovation and sustainable development,” Pagkanlungan said.

To address increasing demand, BWD has expanded its infrastructure significantly over the past two years, adding four pumping stations, three storage facilities, and undertaking major pipe-laying projects, including a 10-11 kilometer pipeline for the Bulacan Bulk Water Supply system.

The district also operates a mechanized septage treatment facility, serving Baliwag and eight other water districts, as well as one municipality in Bulacan. This initiative supports the Supreme Court’s Mandamus on Manila Bay Rehabilitation.

BWD is strengthening partnerships with local barangays to enhance responsiveness to water-related concerns, including leaks and water pressure issues. A Memorandum of Understanding aims to streamline coordination for faster and more efficient service delivery.

In addition to infrastructure development, BWD invests in employee training to maintain high performance standards. β€œOur employees are key to our success. We ensure their competence through both local and international training programs,” Pagkanlungan added.

As of September 2024, BWD operates 29 pumping stations, eight booster stations, and 12 storage facilities, producing an average of 838,905 cubic meters of water monthly. The district serves 42,173 connections with a workforce of 162 employees, further cementing its role as a cornerstone of water service in the region.
