Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. continues to prioritize the welfare of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Angeles City with a door-to-door distribution of P1,000 cash assistance and five kilos of rice, set to begin in the second week of January.
This initiative, aimed at supporting the differently-abled community, was finalized during a January 2 preparatory meeting led by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel.
The distribution will be facilitated by the Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO), headed by Ryan David, who emphasized that this is not the first time Mayor Lazatin has extended financial aid to the PWD sector.
A total of 2,500 registered PWDs from all 33 barangays in the city will benefit from the program.
“The welfare of our PWD community has always been one of Mayor Lazatin’s priorities,” David shared. “This program demonstrates his genuine dedication to ensuring that no Angeleño, especially those from vulnerable sectors, is left behind.”
Mayor Lazatin reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and compassionate city, underscoring the importance of supporting differently-abled residents through initiatives like this.
