Mayor Carmelo βPogiβ Lazatin Jr. continues to champion the welfare of solo parents in Angeles City, with the city government set to distribute P1,000 cash assistance and five kilos of rice to 2,500 registered solo parents across 33 barangays starting the second week of January.
This house-to-house distribution, designed to provide direct support to solo parents, was finalized during a January 2 preparatory meeting led by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel.

The program will be implemented through the coordinated efforts of the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs, led by Eduardo Torres; the Gender and Development Office, headed by Mina Cabiles; and the City Nutrition Office, under Officer-in-Charge Francis De Guzman. Beneficiaries are verified registrants of the Solo Parents Affairs Office, headed by City Solo Parents Affairs Focal Person Rebecca PeΓ±aranda.
βThis initiative shows that Mayor Lazatin never forgets the solo parents in our city,β said PeΓ±aranda. βWe are deeply grateful for this assistance, which addresses many of our essential needs. Itβs heartening to be among the first sectors prioritized this year.β
Mayor Lazatin reiterated his administrationβs pledge to uplift the cityβs vulnerable sectors, emphasizing, βThis is our promise — that no AngeleΓ±o, especially solo parents, will be left behind.β
This program highlights the city governmentβs commitment to inclusivity and compassion, ensuring essential aid reaches those who need it most as the new year begins.
