Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the Philippines’ leading airline, has achieved a major milestone, flying its 250 millionth passenger. The event highlights the airline’s commitment to providing affordable and meaningful travel experiences.
The celebration took place on December 11, 2024, at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3, where Singapore-based overseas Filipino worker Russel Capaniarihan, originally from Bacolod, was recognized as the milestone passenger. Returning home for the holidays after 11 years, Capaniarihan arrived on Flight 5J 814 from Singapore to Manila.
She was greeted warmly by CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer Xander Lao and Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer Candice Iyog. To commemorate the occasion, Capaniarihan was awarded PHP 250,000 in cash and 25 free round-trip tickets to any Cebu Pacific destination, including those across the Philippines, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
“This milestone is a testament to the trust and loyalty of every Juan who flies with us. It represents countless reunions and memorable journeys. We remain committed to making travel accessible and unforgettable for everyone,” said Lao during the event.
The festivities started earlier at Singapore Changi Airport with passengers of Flight 5J 814 enjoying games, prizes, and a photo wall. Upon arrival in Bacolod, Capaniarihan received another warm welcome, with local representatives joining the celebration.
This milestone underscores Cebu Pacific’s dedication to connecting people and places, offering millions of passengers memorable travel experiences over the years.
