CIAC: Incoming DOTr Secretary Dizon appointment to boost Clark Aviation Capital development

Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) welcomes the appointment of Vivencio B. Dizon as the new Secretary of Transportation, recognizing his strong leadership in city building as an asset to the development of CIAC’s Clark Aviation Capital.

“We congratulate Secretary Dizon and warmly welcome him as Chairman of the CIAC Board of Directors. His experience will greatly support our ongoing infrastructure development efforts,” said CIAC President Jojit Alcazar.

Alcazar also expressed gratitude to former Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista for his leadership as CIAC chairman.

During his tenure as President of the Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA), Secretary Dizon successfully led the development of the New Clark City sports hub for the 2019 SEA Games. His contributions to the Philippines’ first smart, green, and resilient metropolis are well-regarded.

As the Presidential Adviser on Flagship Programs under the previous administration’s Build, Build, Build initiative, Dizon played a pivotal role in large-scale infrastructure projects. Alcazar is confident his leadership will be crucial in transforming the 2,367-hectare Clark Aviation Capital into a thriving aviation, logistics, and business hub.

CIAC has already launched plans for several aviation-related infrastructure projects, including the direct access link to the airport, a multi-modal hub, and upgrades to roads, parks, and open spaces.

Secretary Dizon’s leadership will also further advance the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR), connecting Clark International Airport to New Clark City and Metro Manila. He was previously instrumental in the development of the New Terminal Building at Clark International Airport.

“We look forward to accelerating these vital projects with Secretary Dizon leading the way,” Alcazar added.
