The Philippines remains committed to advancing health security, standing out as one of 21 countries in the Western Pacific to conduct a Joint External Evaluation (JEE) since its inception in 2016. Remarkably, the country is among only three in the region to complete a second JEE, underscoring its dedication to improving preparedness and response capabilities.
Guided by the findings of its first JEE in 2018, the Philippines has achieved significant progress over the past five years. These milestones include revising critical plans, assessing priority health risks, and enhancing disaster response mechanisms.
The Department of Health reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding public health and ensuring the country’s readiness to address emerging challenges.
