“This moment is a significant milestone for Emirates as we introduce the A350 into our fleet, enhancing our capacity and flexibility,” said His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline & Group. “The 65 A350s joining our fleet in the coming years will expand our global reach and align with Dubai’s D33 Strategy, aiming to transform the city into a central hub for the global economy.”

Phillipe Mhun, Executive Vice President of Programmes & Services at Airbus, emphasized the strong bond between Emirates and Airbus: “The A350 marks a new chapter in our partnership, which dates back nearly four decades. We are proud to support Emirates’ growth and sustainability goals.”

Rolls-Royce, a key partner in the aircraft’s development, highlighted its role in enhancing durability through its Trent engine family. Omar Ali Adib, SVP Customer for the Middle East and Africa, noted, “Our £1 billion investment in engine sustainability is a testament to our commitment to innovation and excellence in aviation.”

Joining Emirates’ iconic Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft, the A350 is set to revolutionize operations by serving mid-sized airports and ultra-long-haul routes. The airline plans to launch its inaugural A350 commercial flight to Edinburgh on January 3, 2025, followed by routes to GCC cities such as Bahrain, Muscat, and Kuwait, as well as European and South Asian destinations including Lyon, Colombo, and Mumbai.

This latest addition paves the way for Emirates to expand globally, connect more cities, and offer passengers an elevated travel experience. For further details and images, visit the Emirates A350 newsroom.
