Gamat Kapampangan joins β€œArt for Everyone” at SM City Clark

SM City Clark once again opened its doors to creativity and inclusivity with the launch of Art for Everyone, a two-week exhibit running from July 1 to 14, turning the mall into a vibrant gallery of Filipino artistry. This year’s exhibit highlights the rich diversity of voices in the art worldβ€”including the participation of Gamat Kapampangan Art Group, one of the region’s most passionate collectives of local visual artists.

Known for its advocacy of promoting Kapampangan culture through the arts, Gamat Kapampangan showcased pieces that celebrate both tradition and innovation.

The exhibit also featured works from artists aged 4 to 73, including children of diverse abilities like Toni and Aljo Pescador, whose pieces were displayed proudly alongside seasoned professionals and first-time exhibitors.

β€œOur goal is to make art accessible to everyone,” said Lourdes Alarcon, Assistant Mall Manager of SM City Clark. β€œThe participation of groups like Gamat Kapampangan deepens our connection with the community and highlights the immense homegrown talent in Pampanga.”

Art for Everyone is made possible through collaboration with various arts groups and collectives, including Pamitipun King Panyulung ning Kalalangan at Amanang Kabiasnan Kapampangan-Artist Collective, Go Paint by Michelle Buan-Mallari, The Art Association of the Philippines Arts Guild (PAG), Galal Kalalangan Aslagan Inc., Culture and Arts Council of Angeles (CACA), Sibul Ning Kalalangan, Mabalacat City Art Youth Organization, Tarlac State University – College of Architecture & Fine Arts, Gallery 9, and artists Carmela Tan and Christopher Loveria.

Following the success of last year’s Gold Stevie Award-winning Art Market, this edition expands on SM Supermalls’ mission to build a more inclusive and empowered creative community.

By featuring groups like Gamat Kapampangan, SM’s Art for Everyone proves that when given the space and support, artists from all walks of life can shineβ€”and inspire others to pick up the brush, too.
