Nearly 3,000 students from the City of San Fernando received vital financial assistance from the Provincial Government of Pampanga on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda personally led the distribution of aid through the Educational Financial Assistance Program (EFAP), with each scholar receiving P4,000 in cash assistance.
One of the beneficiaries, 20-year-old Kyla Lagman, a second-year Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) student at the City College of San Fernando, expressed her gratitude for the support. “We are very grateful for the additional financial help. This will aid in our projects for the upcoming semester and ease the financial burden on our parents,” Lagman said.
According to the Provincial Library, an estimated 13,000 to 14,000 students across Pampanga benefit from the EFAP twice a year. This program highlights the Pampanga Provincial Government’s commitment to supporting students and ensuring financial challenges do not hinder their academic goals.
The distribution event was also attended by former Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, Special Assistant to the Governor Angelina Blanco, and Provincial Library representative Jasmine Cordero.
