Hanabishi Appliances has boosted its corporate social responsibility (CSR) drive with the launch of its Kapartner sa Kabuhayan program, turning over livelihood starter kits to 10 ‘nanaypreneurs’ managing small eateries (karinderyas) and two community health coordinators.
The initiative was carried out in partnership with Kabuhayan sa Ganap na Kasarinlan Credit and Savings Cooperative (K-COOP) through Project Karinderya, hich provides support to karinderya owners and low-income families.
“At Hanabishi, we believe in empowering mothers who are not only the light of their homes but also the backbone of their communities. By equipping them with appliances for their businesses, we hope to help them grow and thrive, while also supporting Filipino families in building sustainable livelihoods,” said Hanabishi VP for Finance and Marketing Cherish Ong-Chua.

Starter Kits for Nanaypreneurs
Beneficiaries from Camarin and Bagong Silang in Caloocan, as well as Lagro in Quezon City, each received a Hanabishi Karinderya Starter Kit. These included appliances such as an electric fan; gas stove or oven toaster; rice cooker or pressure cooker; water dispenser or hand mixer/blender; and a coffee maker or airpot.
The distribution was held on August 4, 2025, with representatives from Hanabishi, K-COOP, and SEAOIL present. BiotechJP also participated by providing its ready-to-eat rice products to the beneficiaries at the K-COOP Camarin branch.
Stronger Through Collaboration
The project was further strengthened by partner organizations. SEAOIL provided SEAGAS LPG tanks while BiotechJP donated Rice to GO packs, ensuring both nourishment and business sustainability.
“We are grateful to our partners for supporting us. With like-minded organizations on board, we can extend greater help to those in need,” Ong-Chua added.
A Broader Commitment
Kapartner sa Kabuhayan reflects Hanabishi’s broader mission to foster empowerment, sustainability, and collaboration. By equipping micro-entrepreneurs with the right tools and support, the program aims to create lasting impact on Filipino families and communities.
Hanabishi also announced plans to expand its collaboration with K-COOP and roll out more livelihood initiatives under the campaign to benefit micro-entrepreneurs nationwide.
