NLEX Corporation is rolling out road improvement projects to enhance the driving experience across its expressway network. These upgrades are part of the company’s ongoing asset maintenance program, which ensures that roads, infrastructure, and facilities are in excellent condition.
“A key focus of our operations is ensuring safety and convenience for motorists. Our annual maintenance program, combined with regular inspections and repairs, helps improve road quality and customer experience,” said NLEX Officer-in-Charge and Chief Financial Officer Maria Theresa Wells.

The ongoing maintenance includes heavy pavement work, with the Bocaue-Burol stretch already completed. Asphalt overlays are being applied to sections of NLEX and SCTEX, while areas with minimal damage are being patched. Road infrastructure, including bridge parapets, toll plaza barriers, and concrete dividers, is also being repainted. New road signs will be installed by May, with toll booth refurbishments and guardrail repairs underway.
In addition, retrofitting works on 42 bridges were completed in 2024, and repairs on the Marilao River Bridge expansion joints are scheduled for completion by March 2025.
