Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Police General Nicolas D. Torre, paid a visit to the Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Monday, renewing the PNPโs strong commitment to support the agencyโs ongoing efforts to fight smuggling, corruption, and other national security threats.
Joining the BOCโs flag-raising ceremony, PGen. Torre emphasized the importance of continued inter-agency cooperation, praising BOC Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomucenoโs reform agenda as aligned with national goals.






โBeing here is not just a gesture of respect โ itโs a statement of unity,โ said PGen. Torre, pledging the PNPโs full support in joint operations, intelligence sharing, and securing Customs personnel on the ground. โSa bawat laban ninyo, kaagapay ninyo ang PNPโฆ laban ito ng buong bayan.โ
Commissioner Nepomuceno, in turn, thanked the PNP chief and echoed the administrationโs directive to push forward reforms at Customs. โPresident Marcos has made it clear โ our work must reflect transparency, accountability, and good governance,โ Nepomuceno said. โWhat I started on day one, I will pursue until the end of my term.โ
Also present at the ceremony were key figures from law enforcement agencies, including CIDG Director BGen. Romeo Macapaz, PRO3 Regional Director PBGen. Jean Fajardo, NBI Assistant Director Noel Bocaling, and QCPDโs Atty. Magtanggol Gatdula โ showing a united front in the push for public trust and institutional reform.
