Four (4) days before Christmas, the Central Luzon Police Regional Office 3 Regional Director PBGen Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. issues safety tips to remind the public to be extra cautious so as not to be victimized by lawless elements.
Below are the safety tips to be undertaken by the public:

Keep your phone with you at all times.
Walk in well-lit areas.
Attend parties with trusted friends.
Donโt leave drinks unattended.
Be cautious at ATMs and in crowded areas.
Travel in groups or pairs.
Stay alert and aware of your surroundings.
Trust your instincts.
Keep belongings close and be aware of potential threats.
Plan safe routes and avoid shortcuts.
Hold handbags securely.
Get escorted home if out late.
๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ณ๐ฒ๐๐:Keep your home exterior well-lit.
Verify service personnel with identification.
Donโt leave doors open or ajar.
If you suspect a break-in, donโt enter; call the police.
Use sturdy padlocks on doors and gates.
Call police hotline numbers if you suspect a break-in.
Teach children not to disclose information about home occupants.
Secure one part of the premises if working elsewhere.
Instruct children not to allow strangers into the house.

Never drink and drive.
Lock your vehicle when leaving and take the keys.
Be cautious around your parked vehicle, especially at night.
Park in well-lit areas.
Stay alert at stoplights and intersections.
If followed, drive to a police station or crowded area.
If someone enters your vehicle unexpectedly, exit quickly.
If your vehicle is bumped from behind by another car, and you are suspicious, do not get out. Direct the other driver to follow you and proceed to the nearest police station.
Always wear your seatbelt while the vehicle is in motion.
