The New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC), operator of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), has hired 342 additional screening personnel certified by the Office for Transportation Security (OTS).
The new team includes 195 non-passenger screeners, 18 non-passenger supervisors, and 129 screeners in charge of access control. These personnel were trained by OTS-accredited institutions.
Non-passenger screeners handle checks for airport staff and crew, while non-passenger supervisors oversee security in restricted areas. Access control screeners verify IDs, access passes, and tickets at terminals and secured zones.
According to OTS Administrator Crizaldo Nieves, the certification ensures that the personnel meet international and national security standards, enhancing safety for all Manila airport passengers.
