Bonbon Beach was celebrated as a βlaid-back, undeveloped paradiseβ and drew praise for its unique sandbar that emerges during low tide, allowing visitors to walk across shallow waters to Bangug Island.

Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro welcomed the international recognition and emphasized the governmentβs commitment to protecting the countryβs natural assets.
βAng pagkilalang ito ay patunay na kahanga-hanga ang ganda ng Pilipinas at sa ating global standing bilang isa sa mga ipinagmamalaking beach destination sa buong mundo,β Usec. Castro said during a press briefing.
She also highlighted the administrationβs ongoing push for sustainable tourism under the Department of Tourismβs (DOT) National Tourism Development Plan and its βLove the Philippinesβ campaign.
