Angeles City warmly welcomed a delegation from the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental for a cultural and culinary tour that highlighted the city’s heritage and world-renowned sisig.

The visit was led by Provincial Board Member Arthur Christopher Marañon, chair of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan’s Committee on Tourism, and Provincial Tourism Officer Cheryl Decena. They were received by Angeles City Tourism Officer Louie Lazatin and the Kuliat Foundation Inc.

The tour began at the Heritage District, where the group explored the National Museum of Social History (formerly Pamintuan Mansion) and the Holy Rosary Parish, before heading to Museo ning Angeles to learn about Kapampangan culture, including the indigenous script Kulitan.

The highlight of the day was an interactive cooking session at the newly inaugurated Culinarium by Hann Foundation, where guests experienced preparing and cooking the iconic sizzling sisig—an Angeleño culinary treasure.

“This visit is a wonderful opportunity to exchange culture and tourism insights between Negros Occidental and Angeles City,” Lazatin said. “Our guests experienced not only our heritage and hospitality but also the culinary scene that makes Angeles City a must-visit destination.”

The Angeles City Tourism Office hopes the exchange will inspire more cross-provincial tours, knowledge sharing, and collaborative tourism projects that celebrate regional diversity.
