Aurora welcomed over 1.14 million tourists during the Holy Week break from April 12 to 20, marking a 40% increase from last year’s figures.
Of the total number, 310,739 were overnight tourists who stayed in local accommodations, while the rest were same-day visitors who explored the province’s top spots and returned the same day.
Aurora Provincial Tourism Officer Anariza Mendoza credited the surge to strong promotion of the province’s ecotourism sites, beach attractions, and historical landmarks. She also highlighted the SUMVAC 2025 campaign for ensuring public safety and smooth travel across the province.
Among the top tourist destinations were:
- Dipaculao – 309,219 visitors
- Baler – 307,077 visitors
- Dingalan – 280,001 visitors
Other towns also saw impressive numbers: Casiguran (93,800), Dilasag (73,324), Dinalungan (42,001), San Luis (37,886), and Maria Aurora (22,113).
With ongoing efforts to promote sustainable tourism and improve visitor experiences, Mendoza is hopeful that Aurora’s tourism momentum will carry on in the coming months.
From January to April 2025, the province recorded 1.7 million tourist arrivals, reinforcing Aurora’s growing reputation as one of Central Luzon’s top travel destinations.
