The rich flavors of Filipino cuisine took center stage as the Filipino Food Month celebration officially opened on April 24, at Museo ning Angeles and Plaza Angel in Angeles City. The festive launch of the Kulitan Flea Market and Food Bazaar gathered food advocates, local artisans, and tourism stakeholders for a ceremonial ribbon-cutting led by the Department of Tourism – Region III.

The event is part of 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓: 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥. 𝐆𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲. 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥, an initiative held at Holy Angel University that brings together culinary experts and industry leaders for insightful dialogues on food and culture.

A major highlight was the live cooking demo by popular content creator, ‘Lumpia Queen’ Abi Marquez, who wowed the crowd with a creative lumpia twist on the classic Kapampangan dish ‘asadung matwa.’ Food enthusiasts and local creators also got exclusive behind-the-scenes tips on crafting viral food content.

A crowd favorite was the taste test session , featuring freshly cooked lumpia and the legendary Aling Lucing’s sisig , much to the delight of guests and content creators alike.
