Aurora welcomed over 1.14 million tourists during the Holy Week break from April 12 to 20, marking a 40% increase from last yearโ€™s figures.

Of the total number, 310,739 were overnight tourists who stayed in local accommodations, while the rest were same-day visitors who explored the provinceโ€™s top spots and returned the same day.

Aurora Provincial Tourism Officer Anariza Mendoza credited the surge to strong promotion of the provinceโ€™s ecotourism sites, beach attractions, and historical landmarks. She also highlighted the SUMVAC 2025 campaign for ensuring public safety and smooth travel across the province.

Among the top tourist destinations were:

  • Dipaculao โ€“ 309,219 visitors
  • Baler โ€“ 307,077 visitors
  • Dingalan โ€“ 280,001 visitors

Other towns also saw impressive numbers: Casiguran (93,800), Dilasag (73,324), Dinalungan (42,001), San Luis (37,886), and Maria Aurora (22,113).

With ongoing efforts to promote sustainable tourism and improve visitor experiences, Mendoza is hopeful that Auroraโ€™s tourism momentum will carry on in the coming months.

From January to April 2025, the province recorded 1.7 million tourist arrivals, reinforcing Auroraโ€™s growing reputation as one of Central Luzonโ€™s top travel destinations.
