Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Seoul-based Kyong-Ho Engineering & Architects, forming a strategic partnership to advance sustainable development projects within Clark Freeport.

The partnership supports CIACโ€™s Seven Flagship Projects, with a special focus on the Dolores River Park and Clark Aviation Park โ€” both central to CIACโ€™s Urban Renewal and Heritage Conservation Program. These projects aim to address the growing water crisis in Pampanga while promoting climate resilience, ecological restoration, and economic growth through innovative urban design.

โ€œThis partnership is a significant milestone under CIACโ€™s urban renewal initiatives,” said CIAC President and CEO Jojit Alcazar. “The Dolores River Park reflects our vision to transform Clark into a model for sustainable urban development that contributes to regional and national growth.”

The Dolores River Park will stretch 3.9 kilometers along Creekside Road, parallel to the Sacobia River, with nature-centered public spaces, recreational areas, biodiversity corridors, and sustainable mobility infrastructure. The design draws inspiration from global models like Singaporeโ€™s Clarke Quay, integrating commercial areas with natural landscapes and advanced water catchment systems to address water resource depletion.

Meanwhile, the Clark Aviation Park will serve as a dynamic community hub featuring rainwater harvesting systems to support operations and demonstrate eco-friendly urban design.

Under the MOU, CIAC and Kyong-Ho will collaborate on joint research, technology transfer, technical training, knowledge-sharing, and capacity-building programs focused on sustainable infrastructure, urban planning, and climate-responsive engineering.

These initiatives align with CIACโ€™s broader vision for Clark Aviation Capital โ€” set to become the countryโ€™s leading aviation-centered business and logistics hub, capitalizing on Clarkโ€™s strategic location in Luzon.
