Converge ICT Solutions Inc., the countryโ€™s leading fiber broadband provider, announced key leadership changes following its Annual Stockholders’ Meeting and Board of Directors Organizational Meeting held on May 30, 2025. These strategic moves underscore the companyโ€™s commitment to long-term resilience, innovation, and sustainable growth.

After nearly a decade of dedicated service, Jesus โ€œBoboyโ€ C. Romero will retire as Chief Operations Officer effective June 30, 2025. Converge CEO and Co-Founder Dennis Anthony Uy expressed deep appreciation for Romeroโ€™s pivotal role in steering the company through its rapid expansion, particularly during the pandemic-driven broadband surge.

โ€œWe thank Boboy for helping shape Converge during our most transformative years. His leadership was vital to our growth journey, and weโ€™re happy to continue having him as a trusted business partner,โ€ Uy said.

Succeeding Romero as Chief Operations Officer is Benjamin Rex Emilio B. Azada, effective July 1, 2025. Azada has been with Converge since 2021, first as Chief Strategy Officer, and most recently as Chief Commercial Officer, where he helped drive a 15% revenue increase in 2024 and expanded the residential subscriber base to over 2.7 million.

โ€œBenj brings strong strategic insight and a track record of execution. As we evolve into a tech company, his leadership will help us harness AI, IoT, and cloud technologies to deliver beyond-connectivity services,โ€ Uy added.

With Azadaโ€™s new role, his sustainability portfolio will be handed over to Laurice Esteban-Tuason, Convergeโ€™s Corporate Compliance and Data Protection Officer, who now also assumes the role of Corporate Sustainability Officer. Esteban-Tuason was recently named Best Data Privacy Officer by ISOG and holds a Masterโ€™s degree in Cybersecurity with High Distinction from AIM.

Additionally, Christine Renee Blabagno, the companyโ€™s Treasurer, has been appointed Chief Risk Officer. With over 25 years of experience in financial management and telco leadership, she will focus on navigating strategic risks amid an evolving industry landscape.

โ€œThese changes signify a bold new chapter for Converge,โ€ said President and Co-Founder Maria Grace Uy. โ€œWe are strengthening our leadership bench to support our transition into a tech-driven enterprise prepared for the challenges and opportunities ahead.โ€
