𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐨 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒

After being one of the demo sports last edition, Dancesport will finally take the center stage as one of the regular sports in the 2024 Palarong Pambansa slated on July 9-16.
With its elevation as a regular sport, Dancesport, which includes Waltz, Tango, Samba, Chachacha, and Rumba events, will officially be included in the medal tally.

Around 24 medal events are expected to be handed out to the best dancesport athletes in the elementary and secondary level.

Dancesport will be played at G Mall of Cebu, located A. Soriano Avenue, Cebu City.
For this year, Palaro will likewise feature Soft Tennis, Karatedo, Football (Secondary Girls), and Esports as Exhibition Sports, or those being promoted/exhibited by the national sports association (NSA) for future inclusion in the Palaro.

Meanwhile, the upcoming edition of the annual scholastic sporting event for basic education will have new awards for the best performing delegations. For the 2024 Palaro, there will be an awarding for the top five (5) performing regions and champion region per sport.

Palaro will likewise give an award to the most bemedalled Schools Division Office to recognize the efforts of the local government units (LGUs), who assisted the learner-athletes and the rest of the delegation.

Aside from the 17 regions nationwide, the National Academy of Sports (NAS) and Philippine Schools Overseas (PSO) will be participating in Cebu as a separate delegation.

Host Cebu City will provide livestreaming coverage for the Palaro events through Facebook and YouTube.
