Tarlac Governor Christian Tell Yap has extended appreciation to dedicated volunteers who have been serving with courage and compassion in the face of heavy rains and widespread flooding.

These volunteers have been instrumental in assisting government teams as they make rounds across affected areas, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.

“Maraming salamat sa ating mga magigiting na volunteers na buong tapang at pusong naglilingkod sa gitna ng bagyo,” Gov. Yap said in an official statement, recognizing the vital role of these individuals during emergencies.

Officials noted that even in the most challenging conditions, the Filipino spirit remains alive through acts of solidarity and compassion.

“Sa panahong sinusubok tayo ng kalikasan, muling namamayani ang diwa ng bayanihan — ang malasakit, pagkakaisa, at handang pagtulong sa kapwa,” the statement continued.

Authorities praised the volunteers for going door-to-door to check on families, navigating floodwaters, and providing much-needed assistance to vulnerable communities.

“Sa bawat hakbang nila sa baha, sa bawat pintong kinatok upang kumustahin, at sa bawat kamay na iniaabot sa nangangailangan — tunay na buhay ang diwang Pilipino.”
