PRO3 cops brave floods to save residents amid Typhoon Paolo

Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) personnel waded through rising waters and pounding rains on Friday, October 3, as Typhoon Paolo triggered severe flooding across Central Luzon.

Floods swamped portions of Aurora, Bataan, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales, forcing mass evacuations in low-lying areas. Police teams carried children, elderly, and other vulnerable residents to safety, ensuring families were brought out of danger despite harsh conditions.

Regional Director PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. praised his personnel’s dedication:
“Our PRO3 personnel are well-trained for disaster response and always ready to serve and protect, especially during these critical times. Sa gitna ng baha at malakas na ulan, nananatili silang matatag sa tungkulin ng paglilingkod at pagsagip,” he said.

He added that their actions are in line with the directives of Acting PNP Chief PLTGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. to fully implement risk management measures on the ground.

As of press time, hundreds of residents have been evacuated, with rescue and relief operations ongoing in the hardest-hit communities. PRO3 assured the public that its teams will remain on the ground, committed to saving lives and maintaining order.
