SM City Bataan became a hub of inspiration on August 22, 2025 as over 300 young leaders, innovators, and advocates gathered for the Global Youth Summit (GYS) 2025. The nationwide initiative of SM Cares, in partnership with the Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Philippines, continues to empower changemakers to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Distinguished speakers including Ranze Calderon (Youth Force PH), Kier Aventurado (Youth Development Office), Dr. Jayvie Villazor (BPSU Medical), Danica Lolita Tigas (Provincial Tourism Office, Bataan), and Rep. Antonino Roman III (1st District of Bataan) shared insights on Quality Education, Good Health and Well-being, and Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. The discussions highlighted the vital role of young people in shaping inclusive, resilient, and peaceful communities.

Cultural performances from Teatrong Bayan added vibrance to the event, while SM City Bataan reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that help youth thrive in an era of rapid change.
The Bataan leg is part of a series of GYS events across 17 SM malls nationwide, creating a platform for young changemakers to learn, connect, and collaborate on impactful projects for the future.
