Surprise drug test for Angeles City EMS, CENRO employees

Continuing his pursuit of a drug-free workplace, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. has ordered the administration of surprise drug test to some 47 employees of the Environmental Management System (EMS) and 57 personnel of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO).

“We aim for a drug-free workplace, and by assuring this, we will continue to conduct anti-drug efforts to reduce if not eliminate the demand for illegal drugs,” Lazatin said.

According to Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, all employees who are scheduled for their surprise drug testing should comply.

“Those who did not come for their scheduled drug test will still have to comply and will be rescheduled randomly,” Calaguas explained.

The Angeles City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ACADAC), headed by Ricky Saul, conducted the surprise drug test on EMS and CENRO personnel.

Present during the surprise drug test is City Engineer Donato Dizon, the concurrent head of EMS and CENRO.
