Universal Robina Corporation (URC), the snack and beverage giant, kicked off the new year by spreading joy and making lasting memories with its partner foundations. In collaboration with Robinsons Supermarket and Metro Supermarket, URC hosted the “Share-lebrate Joy UR Way” event, offering a fun and exciting movie screening experience for kids.

The event brought happiness to children from SOS Children’s Village, Norfil Foundation, Grace to Be Born, and the House of Refuge, with special activities, gifts, and a movie screening at Ayala Center Cebu and Opus Mall in Quezon City last January.

Before the movie, the kids were invited to join in the lively Hot Potato Hustle game and have fun dancing with URC’s adorable mascots – Goodday Gogo in Cebu, Goodday Ori, and Cloud 9 Captain Choco in Manila. The energy was high, and the kids were all smiles.

Then, it was time to settle down for the screening of Mufasa: The Lion King, the prequel to The Lion King that explores the backstory of Simba’s father, Mufasa. The kids were captivated by the film’s vibrant characters and catchy music, cheering on Mufasa’s heroic journey from a lost cub to the mighty lion king.

When asked who their favorite character was, Mufasa quickly emerged as the winner. “I loved how Mufasa values his home and family so much,” said Kurt, one of the young attendees. Zyra agreed, sharing, “Mufasa is very brave and strong, and he always defends his friends and family.”

Laughter and chatter filled the cinema as the children excitedly discussed the movie with their guardians. To top off the day, each child received a goodie bag filled with a variety of URC’s delicious snacks and drinks, including Jack ‘n Jill Knots, Jack ‘n Jill Roller Coaster, Jack ‘n Jill Nips, and Ready to Drink Beverages like C2, Goodday, and Cloud 9.
