A total of 1,957 bedridden, sick, and indigent senior citizens from various municipalities in Pampanga received financial assistance from the Provincial Government on June 26 during distribution programs held at the Lubao Gymnasium and Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.
Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda led the distribution of ₱6,000 in cash assistance and half a sack of rice to elderly beneficiaries who are no longer able to work and require continued support.

Provincial board members, officials from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), Municipal Social Welfare and Development Offices (MSWDOs), Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), and Provincial Treasurer’s Office (PTO) also joined the activity.
Among the beneficiaries was 79-year-old Jose Colis of Mexico, who has been bedridden for more than a decade. His granddaughter and caregiver, Princess Sunga, expressed gratitude, saying the assistance would greatly help not only her grandfather but many other Kapampangan families in need.
The Capitol said the initiative reflects its continuing commitment to provide care and assistance to vulnerable senior citizens, particularly those who are no longer able to leave their homes or earn a living.
