The Pampanga provincial government is set to distribute 3-wheel vehicles that will serve as Barangay Solid Waste Collection Units to help improve garbage collection across the province.

Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda recently inspected a sample unit and announced that all 505 barangays in Pampanga will eventually receive the waste collection vehicles.

An initial batch of 100 units will be distributed this year. Each vehicle can carry up to 700 kilograms of waste, helping barangays collect and transport garbage more efficiently.

The initiative aims to promote cleaner communities, speed up waste collection, and help prevent diseases linked to improper waste disposal. The program forms part of the province’s “Alagang Nanay Preventive Healthcare Program.”
