Responders recovered what is believed to be the body of an infant from the collapsed structure in Barangay Balibago at around 6:01 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the Unified Command.

The recovery was immediately reported to Responsible Official and Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II as search, rescue, retrieval, and clearing operations continue at the incident site.

Following standard operating procedures, the remains were turned over to the City Health Office for proper handling before being transported to the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) for Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) and confirmation of identity.

The latest recovery brings the total number of confirmed casualties from the collapse to 21.

Members of the Unified Command continue round-the-clock operations as they work to locate any remaining missing individuals while ensuring the safety of personnel deployed at the site.
