Some 2,819 household workers from Lubao and Guagua received cash assistance and rice from the Pampanga provincial government in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Wednesday, October 21.

The beneficiaries received financial aid under the DSWD’s Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) Program, along with half a sack of rice each to help ease their daily household expenses.

Among the recipients was Marilyn Paule, a household worker and sole breadwinner whose child is unable to work due to illness.

“Maraming salamat po, malaking tulong po ito sa amin, lalo na po at may sakit ang anak ko. Ako lang po ang nagtatrabaho sa aming pamilya,” Paule said, expressing gratitude for the assistance.

Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda personally met with the beneficiaries, checking on their welfare and reminding them to prioritize their health and seek medical attention when needed.

Also present during the distribution were Second District Board Member Sajid Khan Eusoof, Guagua Mayor Anthony Torres, and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) Head Fe Manarang.
