ANGELES CITY — Forty-five individuals, including 13 minors, were rescued during an anti-human trafficking operation conducted by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at a local bar in Barangay Balibago.

The raid targeted Field Sensation’s Bar, following a referral from Destiny Rescue Pilipinas, which reported ongoing sex trafficking activities. Undercover surveillance confirmed that women were being offered to customers through “barfine” transactions, with rates ranging from ₱5,000 to ₱10,000.
Arrested during the operation were the bar’s registered owner, Alvin Baguio, and four others identified as Reden Roa, John Parro, Shirly Calilong, and Marilyn Ferrer. They face charges under Republic Act No. 9208, as amended by R.A. 10364 and R.A. 11862, or the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2022.
The operation was carried out under the direction of NBI Director Judge Jaime B. Santiago (Ret.) of the NBI Bataan District Office (NBI-BATADO). All rescued victims have been referred to appropriate social welfare agencies for protection, care, and counseling.
The NBI reaffirmed its commitment to ending human trafficking and bringing perpetrators to justice.
