The One Town One Product store of the Angeles City government is set to launch an exhibit kiosk at the Prime City Hotel in the city.
This was confirmed by Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, who held a meeting on behalf of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. with Luchie Lozano, owner of the said hotel, on July 4, 2022.
The initiative is part of Mayor Lazatin’s programs to boost the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the city.
In his inaugural speech last June 30, 2022, he said that one of the core programs for his second term is to fully support local businesses, especially the promotion of MSMEs, as well as to revitalize the OTOP store, expanding to cater food products.
According to Manuel, the products to be displayed are all Gawang Angeleño of 21 merchant-members of the OTOP store.
Irish Bonus-Llego, Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Officer-in-Charge, said Prime City Hotel will exclusively give space for the kiosk of the OTOP store, free of charge.
Lozano, also the owner of Giada’s Bakery, is the partner of the city government in launching the Pusong Mamon, malunggay bun, where Manuel and Chief Adviser IC Calaguas supervised the planning, taste testing, and launching.
To recall, the city government has already established two kiosks at the entrance and exit areas of the Angeles City Hall.
The city’s OTOP store can also be accessed via Facebook page and Shopee account — OTOP Angeles.
On May 2022, the OTOP earned ₱147,644 from the three-day Agcatan Angeleño Pa trade and tourism fair of the city government.
In 2019 during its opening, the OTOP store only had 12 active members.
