Magalang Mayor Malu Lacson led the distribution of the social pension payout for senior Magaleño citizens of barangay San Nicolas 1 and Escaler at Plaza Magalang.

The local government of Magalang extended the financial assistance to help ease financial burdens of the senior citizens in their medical and other needs.

Qualified grandparents received P1,500 social pension every three months similar to the program of the national government.

The widespread coverage of the program aims to provide one senior citizen per household and prioritized those who don’t received any pension from the national government.

Mayor Lacson also shared that the local government continues to develop and implement programs that will help the elderly Magaleños. (Local Government Unit of Magalang Pampanga)
