Hidilyn Diaz engaged with long-time boyfriend and coach Julius Naranjo
“It’s Yes!” Olympic Weightlifting Gold Medalist Hidilyn Diaz wrote in an Instagram post where she showed off not only her Olympic gold medal but a gold ring as well announcing she is now engaged with her long-time boyfriend and coach Julius Naranjo which they both proclaimed on social media.
The Olympian expressed her “magical moment” with Julius and said she was grateful to God for sending Julius to her.
“I am grateful to God that He sent Julius into my life. He makes my life easy. Alam ng iba kung ano mga sinakripisyo niya para maabot namin ang pangarap na Ginto sa Olympics together with #TeamHD,” Hidilyn said.
“Nung laro, kinilig at masaya ako kasi siya mismo nagsabi ‘God is the center of our relationship’. Kaya walang duda magye-Yes ako dahil swerte ako may isang Julius na nagmamahal, nag-intindi, at sumuport sa akin” she added.
She said the night of the proposal was very meaningful to her. And expressed gratitude to the people who helped Julius prepare the proposal.
Noel Ferrer, her manager shared the good news and some highlights of the proposal in his Instagram.
