CREBA holds press con, welcome dinner at The Lakeshore

In the eve of their 51st National Convention, the Chamber of Real Estate and Builders’ Associations, Inc. (CREBA) held a press conference today, October 16, at The Lakeshore.

The press conference was the prelude to the welcome dinner for delegates representing all 36 chapters of CREBA from all over the country.

Hausland Group Chief Executive Officer Atty. Christopher Ryan Tan served as the press conference moderator, and at the panel were CREBA-Pampanga Chapter Chair Malou Garbes, President Carla G. Espinosa and CREBA National President Noel ‘Toti’ Cariño.

Cariño proudly announced that some 400 delegates will be in attendance at the 51st National Convention. He also announced that Senator Imee R. Marcos, Chair of the Senate Committee on Urban Planning, Housing and Resettlement and Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Rizalino “Jerry” L. Acuzar have confirmed their attendance.

Meanwhile, CREBA Pampanga Chapter Carla Espinosa revealed that the highlights of this year’s convention include a fellowship, featuring cultural presentations and a fashion show, where CREBA National Board members and chapter presidents will don the creations of top Kapampangan designers Philip Torres (Pidayit), Mich Viray, Richard De Jesus and Bry Henson.

Cariño said that because the price of land keeps rising, developers have redirected their attention to township planning, over the development of subdivisions. “Vertical, rather than horizontal development is becoming the option.”

This was echoed by Garbes, who stated that developers nowadays have become very resourceful. “They have found different ways of building communities in small pieces of land.”

The CREBA Annual National Convention 2024, whose theme is “Philippine Real Estate: Navigating the Next Decade,” aims to bring together industry leaders and government representatives, reaffirming CREBA’s role in driving collaboration between the private sector and public institutions.

With its battlecry “A Home for Every Filipino,” CREBA maintains its commitment to upholding ethical standards and best practices in the real estate sector, while underscoring the organization’s goal of fostering sustainable, inclusive growth across the country.
