ANGELES CITY LEADS SUCCESSFUL RESCUE OPERATION

The Angeles City government, led by under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, successfully conducted a coordinated rescue operation on August 1, 2025, targeting minors and vulnerable individuals along MacArthur Highway, Fields Avenue, and nearby streets in Barangay Balibago.

Spearheaded by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), in partnership with the Angeles City Tourist Information Visitors and Engagement (ACTIVE) and the Women and Children Protection Desk of the Angeles City Police Office, the operation led to the rescue of 37 individuals—21 minors (6 females, 15 males) and 16 adults (11 females, 5 males).

Fifteen of the rescued minors were referred to the Kanlungan Ng Kabataan Reformation Center for counseling and rehabilitation, while the remaining 22 individuals received a first warning and were briefed on proper conduct.

Mayor Lazatin affirmed the city’s unwavering commitment to protecting the youth and maintaining public safety. “We remain steadfast in our mission to safeguard our community, especially our children. These operations will continue,” he said.

The city government urges the public to report any suspicious or unlawful activities and to support ongoing efforts to create a safer, more child-friendly Angeles City.
