So far this year, China has logged over 134,000 visitors to the Philippines, and tourism officials aim to boost those numbers through strategic promotions.
The Philippine Pavilion will feature 16 tourism stakeholders, including airlines, dive resorts, and tour operators such as Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, Scandi Divers Resort, and Ticao Island Resort. Their collective presence signals the countryβs commitment to positioning itself as Asiaβs premier diving destination.
One highlight of the participation is Philippine Dive Night on August 8βa business networking event graced by Philippine Ambassador Jaime A. FlorCruz and DOT-Beijing Tourism AttachΓ© Rene Reyes, where Chinese buyers will directly meet with Philippine sellers.
To attract visitors, the country booth will offer interactive activities such as trivia games, prize raffles, booking incentives, and a stamp rally to drive engagement.
βThis is a strategic opportunity to reconnect with the Chinese dive market and strengthen cultural and tourism ties,β said TPB COO Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles. βWeβre not just promoting dive spotsβweβre inviting the world to rediscover the Philippines.β
