Santa Ana clinched the grand championship in the Capitol’s 1st Christmas Pavilion Competition at Arnedo Park, a highlight of the week-long 454th Aldo Ning Kapampangan celebration honoring Kapampangan pride and heritage.
The Capitol Grounds transformed into a festive showcase as municipalities from across Pampanga unveiled unique Christmas pavilions reflecting local creativity, faith, and culture. Standout displays included Minalin’s church replica, Masantol’s seafood-themed setup, Porac’s nature-inspired Aeta-crafted pieces, Lubao’s Bamboo Belen, and Guagua’s finely carved wooden works.

Santa Ana’s pavilion captivated judges and visitors with its Majigangga centerpiece, earning the top prize. “Dream come true ito sa Sta. Ana, dahil naishowcase namin muli sa pavilion na ito ang aming unique na tradition which is the Majigangga Festival,” said Architect Joseph Mallari of Casa Apu.
Porac placed second, followed by Minalin in third and Lubao in fourth.
Adding to the festive atmosphere was a bustling Food Bazaar featuring Kapampangan culinary favorites, fresh produce, indigenous handicrafts, and specialty food items. Visitors also enjoyed the Kadiwa ng Pangulo offerings, including ₱20-per-kilo rice, affordable groceries, and holiday treats like bibingka and puto bumbong.

The celebration culminated in the ceremonial lighting of the Capitol’s giant Christmas décor, illuminating Arnedo Park with massive lanterns, candy canes, Christmas balls, and vibrant lights.
The Christmas Pavilions and Food Bazaar are open to the public until December 5.
