BOC-NAIA DRUG SEIZURES IN 2025 HIT OVER ₱1.125B

The Bureau of Customs–Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA) reported total drug apprehensions worth more than ₱1.125 billion from January to December 2025 as part of its intensified and sustained campaign against illegal drugs.

In close coordination with the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG), authorities seized methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) valued at ₱778.90 million, along with other illegal substances—including party drugs, marijuana, and cocaine—worth ₱346.478 million.

BOC-NAIA said the seizures were the result of heightened inspections and intelligence-driven operations at the country’s primary international gateway, supporting the national anti-illegal drugs campaign of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

The enforcement efforts are also aligned with the directives of Customs Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno to further strengthen the Bureau’s intensified anti-drug campaign.

Under the leadership of District Collector Atty. Yasmin O. Mapa, BOC-NAIA reiterated its commitment to protecting public safety, dismantling transnational drug networks, and securing the nation’s borders.
