The provincial government is set to roll-out the COVID-19 vaccination drive for children aged 5 to 11 in different schools in Tarlac.

Prior to the launching of Resbakuna Kids at Tarlac Provincial Hospital (TPH), Governor Susan Yap said preparation was already in place for the vaccination program in partnership with Department of Health (DOH) and Department of Education (DepEd).
“Most parents would prefer to have their kids vaccinated nearby so we’re doing it in schools aside from TPH. Also, this is the best way to capture our target population, which are preparatory to elementary students, with the help of the local government units, DOH and DepEd,” she said.
Initially, DOH downloaded about 1,000 complete doses of reformulated Pfizer for the Resbakuna Kids program in Tarlac.
The governor also assured the safety of the COVID-19 vaccines to allay fears and doubts of parents and guardians.
“Let’s all get protected so we can go back to our normal lives. We are trying to cover as much as we can in the population from our health workers, senior citizens and those with comorbidities. There should be no fear because this is being rolled-out not only in the Philippines but in the whole world,” Yap said.
As of February 11, approximately 150 kids have already received their COVID-19 jabs in Tarlac.
The provincial government targets to inoculate a total of 189,761 children from the age group.
COVID-19 Vaccination Site in TPH is open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9:00AM to 12:00NN, for those who registered at https://mata.wah.ph/. (PIA 3)
