Mekeni Food Corporation president Pruds Garcia urged media practitioners and business leaders to go beyond reporting facts by also inspiring hope and resilience amid global tensions affecting economies and communities.

Speaking during his acceptance as an honorary member of the Camp Vicente Lim Press Corps (CVLPC) on Friday, Garcia highlighted the role of both sectors in shaping public sentiment, noting that even in challenging times, positive narratives can guide communities toward perseverance.

The honorary membership recognized Mekeni’s contributions to the food industry and its growing impact from Central Luzon to CALABARZON. The ceremony coincided with the CVLPC’s 23rd anniversary celebration in Santa Rosa, Laguna, and brought together media members, stakeholders, and business partners.

CVLPC officials noted that including business leaders underscores the importance of collaboration between media and industry in addressing societal challenges.
