Authorities have advised the public against swimming and fishing in the Abacan River as monitoring efforts continue to ensure safety along the waterways.
As of April 21, 2026, the Task Force on Abacan River Waterways Management, together with the Angeles City Traffic Development Office (ACTDO), is conducting regular surveillance and monitoring activities along the river.
Officials reminded residents to strictly avoid bathing or fishing along the riverbanks, citing public safety concerns.
